Relationship
with the territory
The peculiar characteristics of the land, preemptively controlled through accurate analytical checks and the consequent attentive choice of the most suitable tendrils for the vineyard, has allowed to cultivate grapes and to produce important wines in a territory that has been ignored by the great Italian wine tradition. The pebbly and chalky land, typically needed for the best red wines, and the particular and fortunate position at 380 meters above sea level, allows the production of 65 quintal per hectare of precious and divine grape that we call "l'Uva della Cantina il Poggio".
During the magical month of October, the gentle processing of the vineyard coupled with the careful thinning of the grape bunches and the respect for the nature, bestows a product particularly rich of scents with a perfect phenolic maturation and an ideal balance of the sugar-acidity mixture.
